A Neo-Traditional Community Designed by DPZ
The land plan for Blount Springs was designed by the renowned urban planners Andres Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk, who have received international acclaim for their town designs. The Blount Spring plan utilized the relationships of streetscapes, alleys, common areas, houses, green spaces, parks and commercial buildings to cultivate a sense of community. This is a town which actually helps people live successfully in a community with other people. The goal is to create a village where neighbors are neighbors, crime is minimal or absent, there is a strong sense of values and where the house truly becomes a home. In Blount Springs, quality of life is more important than standard of living--and the standard of living here is exceptional.
Homesites
The Village at Blount Springs is the initial 450-acre development within a 6,000 acre master-planned community encompassing the historic Blount Springs resort area. The Village currently contains 125 building sites. The plan for the initial village envisions roughly 500 Village lots on 450 acres. Lots vary from patio size to large (over one acre) and are priced (at this writing) from $50,000 to $125,000. Lots are designed in such a fashion that virtually all have views or frontage on parks or green spaces. The Village is blessed with abundant parks and reservation areas.
The Village also boasts a variety of amenities for the use of its residents including tennis, a swimming pool, spa, exercise/aerobics room, saunas, parks, picnic grounds, lake, creeks, waterfalls and excellent fishing.
Utilities
The Village at Blount Springs has full utilities in place underground. These include water, sewer, gas, electric and telephone. Blount Springs roads are asphalt construction with concrete gutters.
